Three from LaPlace arrested in Kenner car burglaries

 Kenner - Three people have been arrested after an alert citizen notified police that individuals where burglarizing a vehicle in the 700 block of St. Julien Drive, in Kenner. 

 On Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at approximately 02:56 a.m., the Kenner Police Department received a telephone call from a citizen reporting they had observed a male subject burglarizing a vehicle and run towards Chateau Boulevard, in Kenner.  Responding officers located, Jessie Bailey 20, of 1516 Ellerslie Drive, in LaPlace, Clarence Scott, 20, and Brianna Bolden, 18 of 205 Belle Terre Boulevard, LaPlace, fleeing the area in a 2012 Ford Fusion, black in color.   The vehicle was registered to Bailey’s father.

 Bailey, Scott, and Bolden, were arrested after it was learned they were burglarizing unlocked vehicles on St. Julien and Rhone Drive, in Kenner.  Bailey, Scott, and Bolden, were interviewed by Detectives Jesse Johnson and Harold Pendergast and admitted there involvement in the car burglaries.  Motive for the car burglaries was they needed money.    Bailey, Scott, and Bolden were each charged with crime of simple burglary 4-counts, for burglaries that were found to have committed in the 600 block of St. Julien (1), the 700 block of St. Julien (1), and the 4200 block of Rhone Drive (2), in Kenner.  Taken in the burglaries was a laptop computer, GPS, and IPOD. 

 At the time of arrest, Bailey was on probation; having plead guilty to the crime of simple burglary on June 27, 2013, concerning a March 12, 2013 vehicle burglary for which he stole a gun from an unlocked vehicle in the 5200 block of Wade Drive, Kenner.  Bailey received a 5 year sentence, which was suspended and placed on active probation until 6/27/2016.  Bailey was additionally charged with probation violations by Probation and Parole. 

 At the time of this press release, Bailey, Scott, and Bolden remain in custody, no bond has been set.
