Parolee charged with multiple counts of burglary in the Holly Heights Subdivision

 Kenner - A Kenner man on parole until 5/12/2021, for multiple counts of residential and vehicle burglaries has been arrested again for similar offenses. 

 On Wednesday, September 27, 2017, David McNab, 36, of 3269 Presidential Avenue, Kenner, was arrested by members of the Kenner Police Department and State Probation and Parole / Jefferson District, for the crimes of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, bank fraud, simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, simple burglary (vehicle), and parole violations.   After experiencing several residential and vehicle burglaries in the Holly Heights Subdivision, during the month of August / September, the Kenner Police Department was able to identify McNab as the person who committed these crimes. 

 Locations and dates are as follows:

 ·        August 28, 2017, a vehicle burglary in the 3400 Block of Chateau Boulevard.  A wallet, prescription medication, and alcohol was taken from an unlocked vehicle. 

 ·        September 14, 2017, a residential burglary in the 3300 block of Holiday Court.  Forced entry into the rear door of a residence.  Money, checks, and prescription medication were taken.  During this investigation, KPD learned the victim received a telephone call from a local Regions Bank, informing the victim that someone attempted to cash a stolen check at the location.  Video surveillance later obtained revealed that individual was David McNab.   

 ·        September 14, 2017, a residential burglary in the 3200 block of Rancher Road.  Forced entry through a rear door of a residence.  Jewelry, prescription medication, and a PlayStation was taken from the residence.  Property linking McNab to this burglary was recovered. 

 While incarcerated at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center (Friday, September 29, 2017), McNabb was additionally charged with the crimes of simple burglary (vehicle), identity theft (2-counts), access device fraud, illegal transmission of monetary funds, and illegal possession of stolen things.  This was a vehicle burglary reported to Kenner Police on September 13, 2017, in the 3200 block of Valmont Lane.  Due to a search warrant executed at McNabb’s home (September 27, 2017) property was recovered connecting McNab to this vehicle burglary.  McNab had used the victims stolen credit card via MoneyGram Online.    

 At the time of this press release, McNabb remains in custody, no bond, due to the parole violations.
