Kenner - On Sunday, October 8, 2017, at 04:35 a.m., the Kenner Police Department responded to the 5000 block of David Drive, Kenner, in reference to a disturbance.  As KPD officers were responding, they were advised that a male suspect had broken into an occupied residence, and was involved in a confrontation with the homeowner.

As KPD officers arrived on scene, they detained the suspect identified as Earl Grisaffe, 49, of Kenner.  Speaking to the homeowners, it was learned that they were asleep inside their residence when they were awakened by glass breakage and the residential alarm.  Upon investigating, they discovered Grisaffe inside their residence.

KPD officers spoke to Grisaffe who appeared to be under the influence, and claimed he was being chased by unknown subjects.    Grisaffe also told officers he had parked his bicycle in the back yard of a neighboring residence, where it was found along with his cellular telephone.  Grisaffe was arrested and charged with the crimes of unauthorized entry into an inhabited dwelling and criminal trespassing.

At the time of this press release, Grisaffe remains in custody, his bond was set at $20,500.00.
