Kenner Police investigating burglary / arson

Kenner - On Monday, October 23, 2017, at approximately 11:13 p.m., the Kenner Police and Fire Departments responded to a possible structure fire at the Quick and Easy Food Store located at 701 East Airline Drive, in Kenner.  While responding to the call, officers were also alerted to a burglary alarm at the location.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the front door smashed and 3 small fires inside the business.  The fire was extinguished and video was obtained of the incident which revealed an unknown person entered the closed business and set the fires.

Video (see attached) of the incident depicted an individual inside the business carrying a container which likely contained a liquid substance that was poured and ignited.  Although the video is grainy, it will be sent for enhancements.

Kenner Police Chief Michael J. Glaser urges anyone with information concerning this burglary / arson to call the Kenner Police Detective Aaron Savoie at (504) 712-2301 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
