Update concerning murder investigation / Arrests / Arrest warrant issued

 Kenner - A man found shot yesterday (Friday, January 22, 2016), in the 2100 block of 43rd Street, in Kenner has been identified as Hykeem Martin, 19, of Reserve, Louisiana. 

 Arrested thus far are; Deleon “Del” Perrilloux, 18, who provided the home address of 398 Northwest 2nd Street, Reserve, and Tandi Hall, 21, who provided the home address of 1616 East Frisco Drive, in Laplace.  Both Perrilloux and Hall are boyfriend and girlfriend.  Perrilloux was charged with the crimes of Criminal Conspiracy to commit Armed Robbery, and Illegal carrying of weapons.  Hall was charged with Criminal Conspiracy to commit Armed Robbery.


 An arrest warrant also has been issued for Dayan Sanchez, 21, whose last known address was 4301 Idaho Avenue, in Kenner.  The arrest warrant charges Sanchez with the crimes of Manslaughter, Distribution of Marijuana, Felony carrying of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies, Illegal carrying of a firearm while is possession of a Controlled Substance, the Illegal discharge of a firearm, and aggravated assault. 


 An investigation thus far has revealed that Martin, Perrilloux, Hall, and a 4th subject who police are trying to identity had conspired to commit a “rip” (robbery) to acquire marijuana.   After planning the robbery, the four drove from Laplace to Kenner.  Both Martin and Perrilloux were armed with handguns.  Martin and Hall met with Dayan Sanchez and an unknown male, to acquire marijuana Sanchez was selling / distributing.  During the illegal drug transaction, Martin and Sanchez were involved in a shooting which resulted in the death of Martin.   


 Kenner Police officers responding to shooting yesterday, captured Perrilloux near the Sugar Mill apartments, located at 4520 Williams Boulevard, in Kenner.  Perrilloux had a handgun concealed in his pants.  Hall was also apprehended in the 4300 block of Idaho Street, attempting to flee the scene.  Dayan Sanchez, the male accompanying Sanchez, and other male, accompanying Martin, Perrilloux, and Hall was not located.  A gun was located near Martin in addition to marijuana. 


 A review of Sanchez’s criminal history reveals that he pleaded guilty to the crime of “Simple Robbery,” on February 9, 2015, in which he received a suspended two (2) year sentence and active probation.  Due to his conviction, he is not allowed to own nor possess a firearm, in addition, his provisions of probation prohibits engaging in criminal activity which violates his probation. 


 Martin was found to have a November 8, 2014 arrest in St. John the Baptist Parish for the crime of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm.  No disposition on that charge was noted. 


 At the time of this press release, both Perrilloux and Hall remain in custody, no bond has been set.
