Three arrested for July shooting outside Kenner nightclub
KENNER - With the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Task Force, and Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Kenner Police Department has identified and arrested three people responsible for the July 19th, 2015, shooting which occurred outside the Black & Gold Lounge, located at 1820 Airline Drive, in Kenner.
Santos Fernando-Cruz, 19, who provided the home address of 3605 S. Carrollton, New Orleans. Fernando-Cruz has been charged with the crimes of attempted first degree murder (3-counts) and aggravated assault with a firearm (3-counts). Fernando-Cruz is the shooter relative to this investigation.
Danny Jamil Sarantes-Torrez, 24, who provided the home address of 3473 Wall Boulevard, in New Orleans. Sarantes-Torrez was charged with crime of attempted first degree murder. Sarantes-Torrez gave instructions and encouraged Fernando-Cruz to shoot one the victim’s.
Nahun Alberto Membreno-Ramos, 22, who provided the home address of 8 West Park, in New Orleans. Membreno-Ramos was charged with the crime of attempted first degree murder. Membreno-Ramos also gave instructions and encouraged Fernando-Cruz to shoot one the victim’s.
Two arrested are from Honduras. One is from Nicaragua. The three are documented gang members known as the “Savage.”
At the time of this press release, all remain in custody, no bond has been set. All three also had immigration detainers placed on them. The original July 19th press release concerning the shooting is also attached.
