Kenner man arrested a second time for impersonating a police officer

Kenner - A Kenner man who was arrested in May for impersonating a police officer has been arrested a second time.

On Sunday, September 7, 2014, at 7:30 p.m., Wade Boudoin, 43, of # 3 Furman Circle, Kenner, who was driving a white Pontiac Grand Prix, entered the parking area of the Contempra Inn, located at 2820 Williams Boulevard, in Kenner.   Boudoin exited his vehicle with a police style radio in his hand and began walking the parking lot.  A hotel employee questioned what he was doing; when Boudoin replied “don’t you hear the police radio.”   Boudoin told personnel at the location that he was an undercover police officer and stated they had “criminal activity going on back there.”  When personnel requested his credentials Boudoin began cursing and displayed an identification holder prior to fleeing the location.

At approximately 0407 hours, on Monday, September 8, 2014, Boudoin was stopped for a traffic violation (improper lane use) in the 3000 block of Loyola Drive, in Kenner.  During the traffic stop, Boudoin was identified by witnesses as the person who identified himself as a police officer at the Contempra Inn.  Boudoin was arrested and charged with the crimes of false personation of a police officer and disturbing the peace.

It should be noted Boudoin was arrested on May 26th, and charged with false personation of a police officer.  In that incident Boudoin stopped a vehicle and approached a driver wearing a black tee shirt with the word “POLICE” in white lettering on the front and back, a police style belt with handcuffs, a radio, asp, mace, flashlight holder, and a security badge.   At that time Boudoin claimed he had the vehicle he stopped on radar and threatened to pull the driver out the vehicle and arrest them or give them a Breathalyzer test.

At the time of this press release; Boudoin remains in custody, no bond has been set.

Kenner Police Chief Michael J. Glaser urges anyone who may have information concerning Wade Boudoin to call the Kenner Police Department at (504) 712-2222 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.

Officer Andrew Shea is in charge of the investigation.
