Probation violator arrested for multiple counts of simple burglary

Kenner - A man on probation for simple burglary until1 11/3/2011 was arrested Wednesday (May 11, 2011) and charged with three counts of simple burglary.  Justin Robinette, 19, who provided a home address of 4709 West Metairie Avenue, Metairie, was arrested for three separate burglaries that were reported to Kenner Police on April 17, 2011.  The burglaries occurred on Lisa Drive, in Kenner, which is located in the Driftwood Subdivision.

Burglarized were two detached sheds and a residence.  Tools, money and jewelry were taken and later recovered by Kenner Police.  Although Robinette was identified by witnesses as the person who committed the three burglaries, Robinette was interviewed by Detective Joseph McRae and confessed to the residential burglary on Lisa Drive, but denied committing the shed burglaries.  Robinette was charged with two counts of simple burglary concerning the shed burglaries, and one count of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling for the residence burglary.  Jefferson Parish East bank Probation and Parole also arrested Robinette for probation violations.

At the time of this press release, Robinette remains in custody, no bond has been set.
