Second Arrest for New Iberia Man in Online Internet Sting

Kenner - On Monday, October 24, 2011, Gregory Steven Guillot, 34, of 4619 Loreauville Road, New Iberia, Louisiana, was arrested by members of the Kenner Police Department Cyber Crimes Section after he arrived at a prearranged location in Kenner with the intent on having sexual intercourse with a juvenile. The investigation began when a detective entered into an online chat room posing as a juvenile.  Guillot, who used the screen name “bad_hotboy420420,” contacted the juvenile on numerous occasions, solicited sex, and masturbated via webcam.  Guillot further advised he wanted to meet the underage juvenile in Kenner for the purpose of having sex with her and advised he would buy her a set of panties and a bra.

Guillot later contacted the juvenile (undercover detective) and made arrangements to pick the juvenile up from her residence in Kenner; advising he would rent a hotel room, and bring her there for the night.  Guillot arrived at the prearranged location and was arrested.  At the time of arrest, Guillot was in possession of a bra and panties that he later admitted he purchased as a gift for the juvenile.

Guillot provided a statement, in which he admitted to soliciting sex and masturbating for a person he reasonably believed was a juvenile.  Guillot also admitted that in July 2006 he met a 15 year old female online (who was actually an undercover Hammond Police detective) and drove to Hammond, Louisiana to meet her for sex.  When he arrived at the prearranged location he was arrested by Hammond Police and charged with computer-aided solicitation for sexual purposes and possession of marijuana.  Guillot stated that the Tangipahoa Parish District Attorney’s Office later reduced the charge and placed him on 1 year probation.  Guillot was charged with the crimes of computer aided solicitation for sexual purposes and indecent behavior with a juvenile (2-counts).  At the time of this press release; Guillot remains in custody, no bond has been set.  If convicted, Guillot will be required to register as a sex offender and faces imprisonment at hard labor for not less than five (5) years or more than ten (10) years.  With multiple charges he could be sentenced longer.
