Kenner - On February 18, 2011, the Kenner Police Department issued a press release seeking help in identifying a suspect in an attempted kidnapping / rape complaint, in which the 13-year old juvenile claimed he was grabbed by a Hispanic male and pulled into a dark green mini-van, where the suspect was alleged to pull the juvenile’s pants down.  The incident was alleged to have occurred in the 1600 block of Newport Place, in Kenner.

On Wednesday, March 23, 2011, detectives re-interviewed the 13-year old juvenile concerning inconsistent statements and after a second police report was filed with the Kenner Police Department on March 17, 2011 in which the same juvenile claimed the same Hispanic male forced entry into his home on Newport Place.  During interview; the juvenile admitted to fabricating both incidents.  The juvenile was charged with criminal mischief for filing a false police report.
