KENNER - The Kenner Police Department and U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Fugitive Task Force arrested Juan Morales, 47, earlier this morning (Tuesday, August 31, 2010) at this residence located at 4041 Arizona Avenue, in Kenner.  Morales was arrested and charged with pornography involving juveniles (2-counts).

The investigation began on June 9, 2009, when Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Agents (ICE) learned Morales was purchasing child pornography from his home computer.  Agents interviewed Morales, who admitted viewing and purchasing both adult and child pornography from his home computer.  Morales’ home computer and approximately 155 compact disks were seized from his home.  A federal search warrant was issued for the forensic search of the home computer and disks seized.  As a result of the forensic search approximately 8,097 images and 123 video files of what appeared to be juveniles engaging in sexual activity and sexually explicit images of juveniles were recovered.

The investigation was referred to the Kenner Police Department who obtained a warrant for Morales’ arrest.  At the time of this press release, Morales remains in custody, no bond has been set.
