Kenner Police investigate double homicide / vehicle crash

KENNER - The Kenner Police are presently investigating a double homicide that occurred in the 600 block of Farrar Avenue in Kenner.  At approximately 0133 hours, the Kenner Police Department responded to a report of gunshots in the 600 block of Farrar Street in Kenner.  Upon officers’ arrival to the area, they found a black 2002 Mitsubishi that had crashed into a tree in the 700 block of Farrar Street.  

Inside the vehicle, officers discovered that two victims had been shot.  They also discovered a three year old child that was not seat belted in the rear seat.  The two victims shot inside the vehicle were pronounced dead on scene.  The child received no injuries from the gunshots fired into the vehicle, but received a lacerated liver as the result of the vehicle crash.  The child was transported to Ochsner Hospital. 

The deceased are identified as follows:

Charles Davis, 38, who has an address in the 300 block of Plantation Drive in Kenner and Hermaina Ellsworth, 29, who has an address located at 863 3rd Street in Kenner.  

At the present time, Kenner Police have no motive or suspects.  The Kenner Police Department will release more information as it becomes available.
