Kenner Man
Killed While Walking
KENNER
– On Thursday, May 14, 2009 at
9:00 p.m., Kenner Police Officers responded to a subject lying
in the middle of the street in the 1000 block of Kenner Avenue.
Officers arrived on the scene and found Eddie Coleman, age 54,
of Kenner, suffering from a gunshot to the stomach. Eddie
Coleman was transported to University Hospital in New Orleans,
Louisiana. Preliminary findings suggest that robbery was the
motive.
On Friday, May 15, 2009, at approximately
2:30 a.m., officers learned that Eddie Coleman died as a result
of his injury. This is the sixth (6) homicide of the year.
Detective Jeff Adams is in charge of the
investigation.
