Kenner Man Arrested for Negligent Homicide

Kenner –At approximately 0522 a.m., Kenner Police Officer Matthew Glapion assigned as a member of the U.S. Marshall’s Crescent Star Fugitive Task Force, arrested David Crawford, 35, at his residence located at 4149 West Loyola Drive, Kenner. Crawford was charged with the crimes of negligent homicide, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and no insurance.

Crawford was charged in reference to a fatality accident that occurred on August 16, 2007, which resulted in the death of Yogini Patel of Kenner. On August 16, 2007, Crawford was operating a 1993 Ford pickup westbound in the 700 block of Vintage Drive in Kenner. Crawford’s truck struck Patel’s vehicle, a 1998 Lexus LS400, as she crossed into the intersection of Vintage Drive from Bordeaux Drive. A traffic crash reconstruction investigation revealed Crawford was traveling 73 mph in a residential 25 mph zone at the time of the crash.
