Kenner man shot multiple times

KENNER – On Saturday, June 13, 2009, at 9:16 p.m., Kenner Police Officers responded to a call of multiple gunshots in the 2700 Piedmont Street. Officers arrived on scene and found Elton Jackson, age 22, of Kenner, shot multiple times. Elton Jackson was transported to University Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, and taken into surgery.

At approximately 11:45 p.m., officers learned that Elton Jackson died as a result of his injuries.

This is the seventh (7) homicide of the year in Kenner.

Detective Charlotte Synigal is in charge of the investigation.
