Kenner Police Investigate Murder

KENNER – On Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at 7:02 p.m., Kenner Police responded to a call of multiple gunshots in the 2500 block of Illinois Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Corey Lewis, age 19, of Kenner, unresponsive in a driveway. Preliminary findings suggest that Corey was shot once in the back of the head.

Police have not established a motive at this time. This is the fourth (4) homicide of the year.
