Kenner Police Investigating Armed Robbery

 

Kenner - The Kenner Police Department is presently investigating an armed robbery that occurred at The Wheels and Tire Connection located at 1817 Airline Hwy, Kenner.  At approximately 12:14 p.m., a black male, described to be 5’11”, approximately 25 years, wearing a white tee shirt with shoulder length dread-locks entered the business. The male announced the robbery and displayed an unknown caliber handgun to the owner. The male subject fled the business with an undisclosed amount of money. The owner ran out the rear of the business where an employee and customer were located. The employee and the customer ran to the front of the business.  The subjects entered a dark red-colored, four door, Mitsubishi. The customer who was a security guard shouted to the subject to stop. The subject fired at the security guard who returned fire. The subject fled in the vehicle eastbound on Airline Hwy. No injuries were report at the scene.
