MURDER / SUICIDE IN KENNER

KENNER – On Thursday, November 13, 2008, at 2:53 a.m., Kenner Police responded to an apparent murder / suicide at 3419 East Louisiana State Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered the bodies of a male and female in the front yard of this residence.

The female, Alicia Fruge, age 22, of Kenner, suffered two gunshots to the face and the male, Jason Alexander, age 26, of New Orleans, suffered one gunshot to the head. Police recovered a 9mm Glock pistol on the scene, which was believed to have been used in this incident.

According to friends of Alicia, Jason had been harassing her the entire evening and confronted her at Harrah’s Casino in New Orleans. Police believe Jason went to Alicia’s home and waited for her to return. Police located Jason’s vehicle parked around the corner on East Loyola Drive. The vehicle was impounded pending a search warrant for any additional evidence.

There have been no reported incidents of domestic violence between the two individuals.
