Repeat narcotic offender arrested

 

Kenner – On Tuesday, May 13, 2008, members of the Kenner Police Department Narcotics Division and Special Response Team executed a search warrant at the residence of Derrick Dunbar, 27, located at 3932 Delaware Avenue, apartment D, Kenner.  As a result of the search, narcotics detectives seized approximately 51.9 grams (2-ounces) of crack cocaine, 8.2 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia (digital scale), and approximately $1,000.00 in cash.  Dunbar who has a prior felony conviction for possessing cocaine and two prior convictions for marijuana possession, was arrested and charged with the crimes of possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine 51.9 grams (2-ounces), possession of marijuana 3rd offense, drug paraphernalia, and 3-counts of illegal possession of a controlled dangerous substance while in the presence of a juvenile. At the time of the search three juveniles’ ages, 2, 6, and 8 were inside the residence.
