Man arrested for computer aided solicitation and indecent behavior with a juvenile

Kenner-On Wednesday, June 4, 2008, the Kenner Police Department Cyber Crimes Unit with the assistance of the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office and the South Louisiana ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) Task Force arrested Brett Lachmann, 28, for (1) count of computer aided solicitation for sexual purposes and (1) count of indecent behavior with a juvenile.  Lachmann was a spiritual counselor for the Greater New Orleans Teen Challenge, located at 1905 Franklin Avenue, New Orleans.  He also resided at the location.      

The undercover operation began on March 25, 2008, when a Kenner detective went into an online chat room posing as a juvenile female.  Lachmann, who used the screen name “smoothtalker20026”, contacted the detective.  During the course of the chat, Lachmann solicited to have sex with the juvenile.  He also sent images of his of genital area via webcam and pictures.
