KENNER— On Thursday June 5, 2008, the Kenner Police Department Cyber Crime Unit along with the assistance of the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office and the South Louisiana ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) Task Force arrested Kapil Agnihotri, 28, who provided the home address of 6805 Veterans Boulevard, for (1) count of computer aided solicitation for sexual purposes and (1) count of indecent behavior with a juvenile.

The investigation began when a Kenner detective went into an online chat room posing as a juvenile female.  Agnihotri, who used the screen name “kapil_agni,” contacted the detective.  During the course of the chat, Agnihotri solicited to have sex with the juvenile.  He also invited the juvenile to view his webcam.  Upon viewing the webcam, detectives observed Agnihotri exposing himself and masturbating.  Agnihotri who was interviewed by detectives admitted to using the screen name “kapil_agni.”  He also admitted that he exposed and masturbated for the juvenile female he met on the internet.
