KENNER On July 1, 2008 at approximately 11:30 A.M., Larry W. Davis B/M, age 52, of 1349 Southlawn Blvd, New Orleans, LA. was arrested for one (1) count of computer-aided solicitation for sexual purposes, three (3) counts of indecent behavior with juveniles, and one (1) count of pornography involving juveniles.

The undercover operation began on June 5, 2008, when a Kenner detective went into an online chat room posing as a juvenile female from Kenner. Davis, who used the screen name “dixmen70809,” contacted the detective. From the onset, Davis knew he was chatting with a juvenile female. During the course of the chat, Davis solicited to have sex with the juvenile female and invited her to view his webcam. Davis sent images of himself masturbating, via the webcam.

On July 1, 2008, Kenner Detectives, New Orleans Police Officers, and Investigators from the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office arrested Davis at his residence in New Orleans, Louisiana

Davis is also facing computer-aided solicitation for sexual purposes and indecent behavior with juveniles charges by the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office.

If convicted, Davis will be required to register as a sex offender. He faces imprisonment and hard labor for not less than two (2) years or more than ten (10) years. With multiple charges, however the sentence could be up to twenty-five (25) years

The investigation and arrest were made possible by the utilization of equipment donated to the Kenner Police Department by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, specifically for this type of investigation.
