Motorcycle Crash Fatality
Kenner-A 36-year-old
Metairie man was killed Wednesday night following a traffic
crash in the 4800 block of Power Boulevard, Kenner. Adam Louis
Fastoff, Jr., 36, of 2802 Division Street, Metairie, was
pronounced dead on scene. At approximately 8:37 p.m., Kenner
Police Officers responded to a traffic crash involving a
motorcycle in the 4800 block of Power Boulevard. According to
witness accounts and a preliminary investigation, Fastoff who
was driving a Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle was traveling at a high
rate of speed when he crashed into the passenger side of a 2006
Jaguar. Fastoff was thrown from the motorcycle. Both Fastoff
and the motorcycle were thrown though a residential fence that
faced the 4800 block of Power Boulevard. Fastoff was wearing a
motorcycle helmet at the time of the crash. Speed is considered
a factor in the crash. It is unknown if Fastoff was impaired at
the time of the crash. An autopsy will be performed at the
Jefferson Parish Coroner’s Office at which time toxicology tests
will be performed.
At approximately 10:00
a.m., Thursday, July 10, 2008, southbound Power Boulevard from
Vintage Drive is expected to be closed to traffic while
investigators continue the investigation.
