Kenner-A 36-year-old Metairie man was killed Wednesday night following a traffic crash in the 4800 block of Power Boulevard, Kenner.  Adam Louis Fastoff, Jr., 36, of 2802 Division Street, Metairie, was pronounced dead on scene.  At approximately 8:37 p.m., Kenner Police Officers responded to a traffic crash involving a motorcycle in the 4800 block of Power Boulevard.  According to witness accounts and a preliminary investigation, Fastoff who was driving a Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when he crashed into the passenger side of a 2006 Jaguar.  Fastoff was thrown from the motorcycle.  Both Fastoff and the motorcycle were thrown though a residential fence that faced the 4800 block of Power Boulevard.  Fastoff was wearing a motorcycle helmet at the time of the crash.  Speed is considered a factor in the crash.  It is unknown if Fastoff was impaired at the time of the crash.  An autopsy will be performed at the Jefferson Parish Coroner’s Office at which time toxicology tests will be performed.

At approximately 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 10, 2008, southbound Power Boulevard from Vintage Drive is expected to be closed to traffic while investigators continue the investigation.
