Arrest warrant issued in Kenner shooting

KENNER – On January 30, 2008, at 9:41 p.m., Kenner police officers responded to a complaint of shots fired in the 300 block of Clemson Place. Upon arrival, officers found Brian K. Oliney, age 36, of Kenner, lying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshots. Brian Oliney remains in University Hospital where he is listed in guarded condition.

On January 31, 2008, an arrest warrant was issued for Phillip Dussett, Jr., age 23, last known address 807 Vouray Drive, apartment C, Kenner, Louisiana, for the crimes of attempt second degree murder and illegal use of weapons. The shooting appeared to be over a previous altercation between the two men.

Detective Brian McGregor is in charge of the investigation.
