Book Store Robbery Suspect Arrested
Kenner-On Thursday, January
3, 2008, at 7:45 p.m., Terrence McDermott, 28, was arrested in
reference to the December 28, 2007, armed robbery of Airline
Adult Book Store, located at 1401 26th Street,
Kenner. Kenner Police received an anonymous tip as to
McDermott’s whereabouts and located him in the 1700 block 42nd
Street, Kenner, where he was arrested without incident.
On December 28, 2007,
McDermott a former employee of the business entered the book
store. He was armed with an unknown caliber handgun and was
attempting to conceal his identity by using a bandanna to cover
his face. At gunpoint McDermott demanded money, which he
received, then fled the business. Witnesses recognized
McDermott when the bandanna slipped from his face during the
robbery.
