Sexual predator arrested
KENNER
–
On January 18, 2008, at 2:00 p.m., Anthony Waguespack, age 44,
of 19447 Nette Street, Vacherie, Louisiana, was arrested for
computer-aided solicitation for sexual purposes, and indecent
behavior with juveniles.
The undercover operation began in September 2007, when a Kenner
detective went into a chat room online posing as a juvenile
female from Kenner. The detective was contacted by Waguespack,
who used the screen name “anotherbadgolfer2.” From the onset,
Waguespack knew he was chatting with a juvenile female. In
December 2007, Waguespack contacted the detective, and it was at
that time, that the chat turned sexual in nature where he
invited the detective to view his webcam. Waguespack sent images
of himself masturbating to the point of ejaculation, via the
webcam.
If convicted, Waguespack will be required to register as a sex
offender and face a mandatory two year prison term.
The investigation and arrest were made possible by the
utilization of equipment donated to the Kenner Police Department
by the Federal Bureau of Investigations, specifically for this
type of investigation.
The Kenner Police Department has been and will continue to
aggressively go after individuals who use the Internet to
sexually exploit juveniles from the city of Kenner.
