Students to
complete D.A.R.E. program at four schools
KENNER—Kenner Police Department D.A.R.E. Officers, Ronnie Barger
and Byron Corley, will hold D.A.R.E. culminations, or graduation
ceremonies, January 22 through January 24 at local schools where
students have completed the 17-week Drug Abuse Resistance
Education (D.A.R.E.) program. D.A.R.E. educates
students about the dangers of drugs and alcohol and teaches them
conflict resolution. The program also teaches kids how to build
self-esteem, resist peer pressure, and lead healthy drug-free
lives.
