Peake BMW donates bikes to the

KPD Bike Patrol Unit

KENNER— Kenner Police Chief Stephen Caraway held a press conference on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the Kenner Police Complex located at 500 Veterans Boulevard.  He addressed the donation of 6 bicycles to the KPD Bike Patrol Unit by Peake BMW.

The new Trek full suspension police bicycles were on display at the press conference and KPD Bike Patrol Officers Quincy Bryant and Dominick Rodi were on hand to answer any questions the media had about the bicycles and the KPD Bike Patrol Unit.  Peake BMW owner Mr. Martin Peake was present at the press conference as well as Peake BMW General Sales Manager, Mr. Dave Seawright.

The KPD Bike Patrol Unit was established in November of 2006 and consists of four police officers who patrol the neighborhoods of Kenner in pairs.  Officers who are part of the patrol have completed a 32-hour Police Cyclist Course through the International Police Mountain Bike Association.
